Collection Overview

Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) is a highly heterogeneous hematologic malignancy characterized by the clonal expansion of myeloid precursors, leading to impaired differentiation and bone marrow failure. Despite decades of research, AML remains one of the most challenging leukemias to treat, with high relapse rates and limited long-term survival. Recent advances in genomics, single-cell technologies, and targeted therapeutics have expanded our understanding of disease mechanisms; however, translating these findings into consistent clinical benefits requires robust, reproducible, and standardized experimental methodologies.

This Collection aims to encompass a broad spectrum of methodologies that advance the precision, reproducibility, and translational potential of AML research. It will include diverse experimental, analytical, and computational techniques that contribute to understanding disease biology, identifying therapeutic targets, and evaluating treatment efficacy across basic, translational, and clinical contexts.

By consolidating innovative and standardized methodologies, this collection will serve as a comprehensive resource for researchers and clinicians striving to bridge the gap between laboratory discoveries and clinical applications. It will promote methodological transparency, facilitate cross-disciplinary collaboration, and accelerate the development of novel therapeutic strategies to improve outcomes for patients with AML.
