Dr. Seyed Mohammad Siadat holds a master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and a doctoral degree in Bioengineering from Northeastern University. After receiving his PhD in biomechanics of collagen fibril growth and remodeling, he joined Wallace H. Coulter Department of Biomedical Engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology & Emory University School of Medicine where he is a postdoctoral fellow working on biomechanics of Schlemm's canal to study glaucoma. His interests include collagen fibril formation, growth, and remodeling, ocular biomechanics, glaucoma, and Schlemm's canal.

Collection Overview

Mechanics regulates biological processes at the interface of extracellular matrix filaments and biomolecules. This JoVE Bioengineering Methods Collection publishes methods in the fields of biomechanics and mechanobiology that advance understanding of extracellular matrix filaments formation, growth, and remodeling. This section also features tools and approaches for improving the measurement and tracking of biomolecules transformations during their interactions with extracellular matrix filaments such as collagen and fibronectin.
