Jaskaran Singh Gosal

Jaskaran Singh Gosal

Department of Neurosurgery, AIIMS Jodhpur

Dr. Jaskaran Singh Gosal, MBBS, MS, MCh, DNB, MNAMS, FRCS Ed (Neuro.Surg), is an additional professor in the Department of Neurosurgery at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Jodhpur, and a leading innovator in minimally invasive skull base surgery. He specializes in multiport endoscopic skull base techniques and endoscopic transorbital approaches for complex intracranial tumors.Dr. Gosal completed a dedicated research fellowship in endoscopic skull base surgery at The Ohio State University, where he conducted extensive cadaveric laboratory research and developed novel anatomical corridors for multiport access. He has published numerous peer-reviewed articles on multiport endoscopic skull base approaches and has successfully translated these techniques from laboratory research into clinical practice. Under his leadership, AIIMS Jodhpur has become one of the first centers in India to perform advanced multiport skull base and transorbital endoscopic surgeries. His research interests include minimally invasive multiport skull base surgery, pituitary tumors, and skull base meningiomas.

Collection Overview

This series presents high-quality surgical videos demonstrating advanced minimally invasive endoscopic techniques and approaches, including endoscopic endonasal, endoscopic transorbital (TONES), endoscopic transmaxillary, endoscopic keyhole skull base, and robotic-assisted procedures. These videos focus on the management of a wide range of skull base pathologies, such as otosclerosis, cholesteatoma, implantation otology cases, CSF leaks, and skull base tumors, including pituitary tumors, craniopharyngiomas, Rathke cleft cysts, chordomas, chondrosarcomas, angiofibromas, schwannomas, skull base meningiomas, cerebellopontine angle tumors, infratemporal fossa lesions, and facial nerve pathologies.

The videos emphasize key procedural steps, preoperative planning, reasons to select the particular approach, intraoperative decision-making, complication avoidance, and long-term outcomes, offering narrated guidance for both trainees and specialists. With the increasing demand for precision and minimally invasive surgery, these videos address existing gaps by demonstrating novel techniques, including endonasal and endotransorbital skull-base access and AI-assisted surgical procedures.

This video atlas serves as a valuable resource for trainees acquiring new skills and specialists refining their techniques. Furthermore, it promotes collaboration between otolaryngology and neurosurgery, illustrating how interdisciplinary cooperation can establish new standards in patient care by reducing recovery times, preserving vital functions, and improving outcomes in skull base surgery.
