Dr. Bohan Liu is a senior research associate and lecturer in the College of Agronomy at Hunan Agricultural University, China. Prior to joining Hunan Agricultural University, he completed his PhD with three years of postdoctoral research experience from Zhejiang University. During his 7 years at Zhejiang University, he primarily focused on investigating genetic mechanisms of transcription factor regulation of plant development and response to environments. His current lab focuses on genetic mechanisms of grain filling and drought tolerance in rice. Dr. Liu has participated in more than 10 research projects with organizations such as the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the China Post-doctoral Science Foundation, and the National Basic Research Program of China. He has authored 24 peer-reviewed articles and reviews in publications including Plant Cell and Environment, Journal of Experimental Botany, and Journal of Integrative Plant Biology.
