Ikui’s lab studies how DNA replication and cell division are coordinated in cell cycle. They use single-celled model organisms, Saccharomyces cerevisiae and Chlamydomonas reinhardtii, to understand how eukaryotic cells maintain genome integrity throughout the cell division.
