Dr. Thavamani completed his PhD research through the International Max Planck Research School, at the University of Tubingen, Germany. His research focused on studying specific subtypes of liver carcinoma using mouse models, with a goal of developing novel treatment strategies. Since 2019, he has been pursuing his research as a post-doctoral fellow at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical center and Harvard Medical School. His research currently focuses on developing/improving targeted therapy strategies for the treatment of triple negative breast cancer (TNBC). His research interests include, studying the heterogeneity of tumors and the surrounding microenvironment in vivo using novel-imaging technologies.
