Dr. Segovia is currently working as an Associate Professor at the Department of Pharmacology, Faculty of Medicine, National Autonomous University of Mexico. She completed her PhD at the National Institute of Nutrition in Mexico City. Her research was focused on breast cancer, hormones, and targeted therapy. She did a research stay in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia, United States. Dr. Segovia served as a postdoctoral researcher in the Institute of Biomedical Research's Department of Neuroimmunoendocrinology, where she studied the tumor microenvironment and endocrine disruptor compounds in breast cancer patients. Dr. Segovia has served as a Guest Associate Editor in several journals, including Frontiers in Oncology and Frontiers in Toxicology.
