Dr. Tianhe Huan is an oncologist at the Zhongnan Hospital of Wuhan University,. His team focuses on the clinical treatment for patients with gastric cancer and colorectal cancer, and they have several ongoing clinical trials to prove the potential treatment strategies for patients with therapy resistance. His research interests are based on his experience in the Xin Lab at the University of Notre Dame. From 2018 to 2021, he successfully constructed a genetically engineered mouse model for penile squamous cell carcinoma and prostate cancer. With these models, he investigated the pre-clinical treatment strategies for penile squamous cell carcinoma and detected the mechanism of premetastatic niche change during distant metastasis of prostate cancer. Now he is also trying to generate digestive system tumor mouse models to better serve our clinical works.
