Dr. Jieye Lin is currently working as a postdoctoral scholar in Dr. Tamir Gonen’s lab at the David Geffen School of Medicine, University of California, Los Angeles. His lab focuses on the method development of microcrystal electron diffraction (MicroED) as well as its application in the structural analysis of novel pharmaceutical compounds, membrane proteins, etc. His current research interests are (1) automation of MicroED data collection and process; (2) determination and structure analysis of novel pharmaceutical compounds. The former aims to automate the MicroED pipeline to minimize human involvement and provide unbiased and reproducible diffraction data, the latter is an application of MicroED in the study of pharmaceutical compounds which cannot form large and well-ordered crystals for conventional X-ray diffraction.
