Kaushik Choudhury earned his PhD in laser interferometric observations related to the ablation of metals jointly from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (India) and Monash University (Australia) in 2018. He holds a master’s degree in physics from the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee. His research interests are 3D printing and instrumentation for biomedical applications. He is keen on developing products in the healthcare domain that are affordable and can reach the masses. With this vision, he has co-founded a start-up, Iota Design & Innovations Lab Pvt. Ltd. (Gandhinagar, India), to design, develop and commercialize affordable and innovative healthcare solutions. He is presently a board member and one of the company's directors. He holds the position of Translation Scientist in the Discovery to Innovation Accelerator (DIA) of the Center for Cellular and Molecular Platforms (Bengaluru, India). He is a team member that translates the ideas developed in academic institutions across India into novel products for industries to take them forward and commercialize.
