Dr. Najm is the Vice Chair at the Cleveland Clinic Neurological Institute. He is also the Director of the Cleveland Clinic Epilepsy Center. 

His clinical expertise lies in the presurgical evaluation and management of patients with drug-resistant epilepsy and focal malformations of cortical development. 

His research focuses on understanding the mechanisms of epilepsy. He also investigates the clinical and imaging correlates and surgical management of focal cortical dysplasia. He is the co-principal Investigator of the groundbreaking Cleveland Clinic Brain Study. This prospective and observational study aims to provide an in-depth characterization of the silent phase preceding the onset of neurodegenerative disorders. 

Dr. Najm received his Medical Doctor (M.D.) degree from Saint Joseph University in Beirut, Lebanon. He furthered his education with post-graduate training in both Basic Sciences, specializing in Neurobiology at the University of Southern California and the University of California, Irvine, and Clinical Neurosciences, specializing in Neurology, Epilepsy, and Clinical Neurophysiology at the Cleveland Clinic.
