Dr. Yu is an associate professor at Suzhou Medical College of Soochow University. He completed his Ph.D. at Soochow University in 2019 and continued his academic journey with post-doctoral research until 2022, after which he assumed his current position. Utilizing advanced technologies such as human pluripotent stem cell-derived organoids, gene editing, single-cell sequencing, and ATAC-Seq, his research primarily focuses on the complex functions and regulatory mechanisms of cell fate determination in cardiovascular development and diseases.

Dr. Yu has published over 20 papers in peer-reviewed journals, accumulating more than 700 citations and achieving an H-index of 13. He has led several research projects, including serving as the principal investigator for the National Natural Science Foundation for Young Scientists. Additionally, he is an Editorial Board Member for Scientific Reports and has reviewed for journals such as Stem Cell Research & Therapy and Journal of the American Heart Association (JAHA), among others.
