Dr. Xunwei Wu earned his PhD from Fudan University in China and completed postdoctoral training at the Max Planck Institute in Germany and Harvard Medical School in the USA. His research focuses on the regeneration of human skin, specifically on culture-expanded skin stem cells. Dr. Wu and his team have developed a novel system to maintain the regenerative potential of stem cells during in vitro expansion. They have also established a humanized mouse model that features full-thickness human skin with mature hair follicles. This platform allows for advanced in vivo studies on skin diseases, wound healing, and the aging process.
