Dr. Marie-Lise Jobin obtained her PhD in 2014 in Chemistry and Physics at the University of Bordeaux (France) where she studied the interaction of cell-penetrating peptides with model membranes. During a short postdoctoral position in Bordeaux she investigated the interaction of G-protein coupled receptors (GPCRs) with membrane lipids before she moved to the University of Würzburg (Germany) as part of a Collaborative Research Center. There, she investigated GPCRs membrane dynamics and signalling using innovative microscopy methods such as single-molecule fluorescence imaging and super-resolution microscopy. In 2019, she received a fellowship from the Fondation pour la Recherche Médicale and joined the Interdisciplinary Institute for Neurosciences in Bordeaux as a postdoctoral researcher. Dr. Jobin’s main research interest is to understand the role of biomolecular interactions on biological processes occurring at or near the cell membranes using cutting-edge fluorescence microscopy methods.
