Prof. Roser Sabater i Serra received her PhD degree in industrial engineering at the Universitat Politècnica de València in 2002. She is currently a Professor in the Electrical Engineering Department and researcher at the Centre for Biomaterials and Tissue Engineering. (Universitat Politècnica de Valencia). Her research interest lies in the development of novel biomaterials, tools and methods for tissue engineering and regenerative medicine. In particular, she is focused on biologically-inspired scaffolds based on smart materials that provide specific bioactive cues, and the role of external stimulation and substrate physico-chemical properties in directing cell response.
