Neuralynx Versadrive

Neuralynx VersaDrive is an adjustable microdrive system used to position and reposition electrodes for in vivo neural recordings, particularly in behaving animals. Its mechanical drive mechanism advances or retracts implanted electrodes in controlled increments, enabling researchers to target neural structures and optimize signal quality across recording sessions. In behavioral neuroscience, VersaDrive supports electrophysiological studies that relate neural activity to movement, learning, decision-making, and other actions. By combining stable implantation with adjustable electrode placement, the system can improve access to changing recording sites while helping preserve the animal’s ability to perform behavioral tasks.
