Eye Strain Prevention

Eye strain prevention comprises strategies that reduce visual discomfort, fatigue, dryness, and blurred vision during prolonged focusing tasks. Sustained screen use can reduce blinking while requiring continuous accommodation and convergence, so regular breaks, conscious blinking, appropriate viewing distance, and balanced lighting help relax the visual system and maintain tear-film stability. In biology and health research, these measures support healthy visual function during computer work, reading, and other near-vision activities. Applying them can improve comfort, concentration, and productivity while helping distinguish temporary digital eye strain from persistent symptoms that may require professional evaluation.

We described a protocol for prevention of heat stress effects in rats by oral pre-treatment with beneficial bacteria. This protocol can be modified and used for various routes of administration and for analysis of different compounds.

Measurement of Compressive Stress-Strain Response at Small-Strains

2025

This protocol presents the configuration of a compression test device capable of precisely measuring the mechanical properties of microstructures in the small-strain region, along with a systematic method for compression testing using this device. The proposed device can be used to analyze various microstructures and the mechanical behavior of polymer-based materials.

Stress-Strain Characteristics of Aluminum

2023

Source: Roberto Leon, Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Virginia Tech, Blacksburg, VA Aluminum is one of the most abundant materials in our lives, as it is omnipresent in everything from soda cans to airplane components. Its widespread use is relatively recent (1900AD), primarily because aluminum does not occur in its free state, but rather in combination with oxygen and other elements, often in the form of Al2O3. Aluminum was originally obtained from bauxite mineral deposits...

Several factors can increase the risk of cancer in an individual. About 50% of cancer cases can be prevented by adopting a healthy lifestyle, regular exercise, eating healthy, and following a modest cancer prevention diet. Epidemiological studies have consistently shown that populations with vegetable and fruit-rich diets have reduced the incidence of cancer. On the other hand, populations who have a diet rich in animal fat, red meat, junk food, or high calories are predisposed to cancer. Some...
