Virtual View Maps

Virtual View Maps are digital representations that organize biological images, specimens, or spatial data into navigable visual environments, helping researchers examine complex structures from selected viewpoints. They work by linking image regions or spatial coordinates to a map interface, allowing users to move between locations, adjust magnification, and compare views while preserving relationships within the original sample. In biology, these maps support virtual microscopy, anatomy education, specimen documentation, and analysis of tissue or organism organization. By making spatial information easier to access and interpret, Virtual View Maps can improve collaboration, enable repeatable observations, and extend biological analysis beyond the limitations of a single physical viewpoint.

Fate Mapping

2023

Fate mapping is a technique used to understand how embryonic cells divide, differentiate, and migrate during development. In classic fate mapping experiments, cells in different areas of an embryo are labeled with a chemical dye and then tracked to determine which tissues or structures they form. Technological improvements now allow for individual cells to be marked and traced throughout embryonic development and adulthood. This video reviews the concepts behind fate mapping, and then details a...

2025

Econometric Views, often stylized as EViews, is a package that merges statistical analysis with econometric studies. It is designed to provide tools for time series analysis, forecasting, and econometric model simulation. The software originated from MicroTSP software and has evolved significantly since its inception in 1981. The history of EViews is marked by a continuous effort to enhance its computational speed and user interface. It was initially developed for large computing systems but...
