Mins Software Tool

The MINS software tool is an image-analysis platform for reconstructing and quantifying cells in three-dimensional, time-lapse microscopy data, making complex developmental processes easier to measure. It uses fluorescent image stacks to identify cell nuclei, segment individual cells, and track their positions and lineage over successive time points, with interactive correction when automated assignments require refinement. In developmental biology, MINS supports analysis of embryonic cell divisions, movements, and tissue organization by converting microscopy recordings into quantitative cell-centered datasets. These measurements help researchers compare developmental dynamics, identify abnormal patterns, and connect cellular behavior with tissue formation.

Mapping Microglial Parameters Software (MMPS): An Open-Source, User-Friendly Tool for Quantitative Microglia Morphology Analysis

2026

Mapping Microglial Parameters Software (MMPS) is a user-friendly analysis pipeline that requires no coding expertise and semi-automates single-cell microglial morphology analysis from immunofluorescence images. Validated in a rodent lipopolysaccharide-induced neuroinflammation model, MMPS reproducibly detects activation-associated morphological changes and enables standardized, scalable microglial phenotyping.

Citations play a key role in academic writing by documenting the evidence that supports scholarly claims. Beyond giving credit to original authors, they show engagement with existing research and strengthen the credibility of an argument. Effective citation practices are central to research literacy because they reflect a writer’s ability to locate, evaluate, and integrate reliable sources into their work. Digital Tools for Citation Management Advances in digital technology have simplified the...

Neural control and cognitive processes can be studied through eye movements. The VisualEyes software allows an operator to program stimuli on two computer screens independently using a simple, custom scripting language. The system can stimulate tandem eye movements (saccades and smooth pursuit) or opposing eye movements (vergence) or any combination.
