Simulation Program

A simulation program is software that represents a real system, process, or environment through mathematical models, allowing engineers to analyze behavior without testing every condition on physical hardware. It operates by translating governing equations, material properties, constraints, and input conditions into computational steps that predict system responses over time or across scenarios. Engineering teams use simulation programs to evaluate designs, identify failure risks, optimize performance, and compare alternatives before building prototypes. These tools can reduce development costs, improve safety, and support evidence-based decisions in fields such as mechanical, electrical, civil, and aerospace engineering.

2017

The siphon breaking phenomenon was investigated experimentally and a theoretical model was proposed. A simulation program based on the theoretical model was developed and the results of the simulation program were compared with experimental results. It was concluded that the results of the simulation program matched the experimental results well.

Programmed electrical stimulation provides the ability to determine conduction properties of the heart, and the possibility to induce and terminate cardiac arrhythmias using various pacing protocols. Using a transvenous catheter, intracardiac electrogram recordings can be obtained in mice following programmed electrical stimulation protocols to identify arrhythmogenic substrates.

An efficient way to gain insight into how humans navigate themselves in three dimensions is described. The method takes advantage of a motion simulator capable of moving observers in ways unattainable by traditional simulators. Results confirm that movement in the horizontal plane is underestimated, while vertical movement is overestimated.
