Ordering Numbers

Ordering numbers is the mathematical process of comparing values and arranging them from least to greatest or greatest to least, which establishes their relative position on a number line. It works by applying the relations less than, greater than, or equal to; place value, signs, and magnitude determine comparisons for integers, decimals, fractions, and other numerical forms. In mathematics, ordering numbers supports sorting data, identifying minimum and maximum values, interpreting inequalities, and organizing measurements, while providing a foundation for algebra, statistics, and quantitative reasoning.

A protocol to create gene modified human pseudoislets from dispersed human islet cells that are transduced by lentivirus carrying short hairpin RNA (shRNA) is presented. This protocol utilizes readily available enzyme and culture vessels, can be performed easily, and produces genetically modified human pseudoislets suitable for functional and morphological studies.
