Exercise Session Tracking

Exercise session tracking is the systematic recording of physical activity to characterize how an individual exercises and monitor changes over time. It can combine session type, duration, frequency, perceived exertion, workload, and physiological measures such as heart rate, using structured logs or wearable sensors to create a consistent activity record. In medicine, these data support individualized exercise prescriptions, assessment of adherence and functional progress, and evaluation of responses during rehabilitation or chronic disease management. Standardized tracking also strengthens research by linking exercise exposure with health outcomes and helping clinicians adjust programs safely.
