Robotic Trocar Placement

Robotic trocar placement is the planned positioning of access ports through the body wall to introduce a camera and robotic surgical instruments during minimally invasive procedures. Guided by surgical anatomy and the intended operative field, clinicians select port sites and spacing that provide instrument triangulation, adequate reach, and clearance for robotic arms while reducing interference between instruments. Accurate placement can improve visualization, tissue manipulation, and surgeon control, while poor positioning may limit access or increase the risk of instrument collisions and tissue injury. The technique supports procedures across medicine, including robotic abdominal and pelvic surgery, and is an important component of safe, efficient robotic operating-room practice.

Blood pressure monitoring is one of the essential vital signs, and for a majority of patients, measuring it utilizing non-invasive techniques provides accurate values. However, there are situations in which the blood pressure requires more exact, specific, and reliable measurements.
