Spinal Neurosurgery

Spinal neurosurgery is a specialized field that diagnoses and treats disorders affecting the spinal cord, spinal nerves, and vertebral column when they cause neurological dysfunction or require surgical correction. Procedures work by relieving pressure on neural tissues through decompression, removing lesions or damaged disc material, and restoring spinal stability with techniques such as fixation or fusion. Applications include treating spinal tumors, traumatic injuries, herniated discs, spinal stenosis, and degenerative conditions that produce pain, weakness, sensory loss, or impaired movement. Advances in microsurgery, image guidance, and minimally invasive approaches can improve precision, support safer treatment, and accelerate recovery.
