Tumor Board Discussion

Tumor board discussion is a structured, multidisciplinary review in which healthcare professionals evaluate a patient’s cancer diagnosis and develop an evidence-informed management plan. The process brings together specialists such as oncologists, surgeons, radiologists, pathologists, and other clinicians to interpret pathology, imaging, disease stage, and patient-specific factors before comparing treatment options. These discussions support coordinated decision-making across surgery, radiation, systemic therapy, and supportive care. They can improve communication among care teams, align treatment with clinical guidelines and individual needs, and identify appropriate referrals, diagnostic steps, or clinical trial opportunities.

2023

Source: Ali Bazzi, Department of Electrical Engineering, University of Connecticut, Storrs, CT. DC/DC converters are power electronic converters that convert DC voltages and currents from a certain level to another level. Typically, voltage conversion is the main purpose of DC/DC converters and three main types of conversion exist in a single converter: stepping up, stepping down, and stepping up or down. Among the most common step-up converters are boost converters (Refer to this collections...

2014

Body segmental inertial properties are required for inverse dynamics modeling. Using an oscillation and reaction board technique, inertial properties of below-knee prostheses were measured. Using direct measures of prosthesis inertia in the inverse dynamics model of the prosthetic leg resulted in lower magnitudes of resultant joint forces and moments.

This protocol describes the modified hole board, which is a behavioral test set-up that comprises the characteristics of an open field and a traditional hole board. This set-up enables the differential analysis of unconditioned behavior of small laboratory mammals as well as the analysis of cognitive abilities.

DCE-MRI of Orthotopic Pancreatic Tumor Xenografts: A Method to Assess Microvasculature in a Target Tumor Tissue

2023

This video describes the technique of DCE-MRI for orthotropic pancreatic tumor xenografts in mice. DCE-MRI is a non-invasive method to analyze microvasculature in a target tissue, and useful to assess vascular response in a tumor following a novel therapy. This method will assist investigators to apply DCE-MRI for orthotopic gastrointestinal cancer mouse models.

Creating and Applying a Reference to Facilitate the Discussion and Classification of Proteins in a Diverse Group

2017

The goal of this protocol is to develop a reference for divergent proteins in a group that lacks coherent criteria for nomenclature and classification. This reference will facilitate analyses and discussion of the group as a whole and can be used in addition to established names.
