Rope Pull Reaction

Rope pull reaction is a physics demonstration of Newton’s third law, showing that when one person or object pulls on a rope, the rope exerts an equal and opposite force in return. When the rope is tensioned, the applied force is transmitted through its length, while the motion of each participant depends on the net force after friction, mass, and opposing pulls are considered. The activity helps students distinguish action-reaction force pairs from balanced forces and provides a practical model for analyzing tension, acceleration, and equilibrium in tug-of-war, mechanical systems, and structural applications.

Co-Immunoprecipitation and Pull-Down Assays

2023

Co-immunoprecipitation (CoIP) and pull-down assays are closely related methods to identify stable protein-protein interactions. These methods are related to immunoprecipitation, a method for separating a target protein bound to an antibody from unbound proteins. In CoIP, an antibody-bound protein is itself bound to another protein that does not bind with the antibody, this is followed by a separation process that preserves the protein-protein complex. The difference in pull-down assays is that...

Impairment of postural reflexes, termed postural instability, is difficult to quantify. Clinical assessments such as the pull test suffer issues with reliability and scaling. Here, we present an instrumented version of the pull test to objectively characterize postural responses.

Demand‐Pull Inflation

An increase in the overall price level caused by higher aggregate demand is known as demand-pull inflation. It happens when aggregate demand for goods and services in an economy rises.Aggregate demand can increase for several reasons, including higher consumer spending, increased business investment, greater government expenditure, higher net exports, or tax reductions. Lower taxes leave households with more disposable income, which raises consumption, and they leave firms with stronger...
