Embryo Cropping Program

The Embryo Cropping Program is a digital image-processing workflow that isolates individual embryos from microscopy images, making specimens easier to inspect and compare in developmental biology. It works by identifying or selecting the embryo-containing region within a larger image and producing a standardized crop while retaining visual information needed for analysis. Standardized embryo images support documentation of developmental stage, morphology, and experimental variation while reducing irrelevant background and improving consistency across datasets. As part of image-based research, the program can streamline embryo screening and prepare data for downstream measurements, phenotypic classification, and developmental comparisons.

Programmed electrical stimulation provides the ability to determine conduction properties of the heart, and the possibility to induce and terminate cardiac arrhythmias using various pacing protocols. Using a transvenous catheter, intracardiac electrogram recordings can be obtained in mice following programmed electrical stimulation protocols to identify arrhythmogenic substrates.
