3d Planning

3D planning is a medical visualization and decision-making approach that uses three-dimensional representations of anatomy to support diagnosis, treatment design, and procedural preparation. It converts data from imaging methods such as computed tomography or magnetic resonance imaging into interactive models that reveal spatial relationships among organs, tissues, vessels, and lesions. Clinicians can use these models to assess anatomy, compare treatment options, simulate procedures, and guide the creation of patient-specific instruments or implants. In surgery and other specialties, 3D planning can improve communication, support personalized care, and help teams anticipate technical challenges before treatment begins.
