Nuclear energy, another nonrenewable resource, comes from splitting radioactive nuclei, such as uranium atoms, in a process called nuclear fission.
It generates massive amounts of energy without air pollution, but produces radioactive waste that must be stored safely for thousands of years.
As these resources run out and their environmental impact grows, it is essential to shift toward cleaner, renewable energy sources for a more sustainable future.
