During Anaphase I, the homologous chromosomes are pulled apart by spindle fibers towards opposite cell poles, ensuring that each side of the cell receives one set of chromosomes.
Finally, in Telophase I, the spindle fibers break down, and the nuclear membrane may or may not form around the chromosomes.
