GedaFreshwater Mussel Program Coordinator Susan Geda is a Freshwater Malacologist for the Fish and Wildlife Research Institute, Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission in Pensacola, Florida. She received her MS degree from Appalachian State University in 2017 with a focus on phylogenetics and taxonomy. As the Freshwater Mussel Program Coordinator, she oversees a statewide long term monitoring program to establish baselines and identify trends of imperiled freshwater mussel populations.
