As we wrap up 2016, I have been reflecting on all that JoVE has accomplished during the past year and I must say, it’s astonishing. Our people have put in a tremendous amount of hard work, and it has resulted in a very successful year of growth.
New Releases
This year alone, we launched five new Science Education collections and three new Video Journal sections:

New Subscribers
In 2016, we welcomed institutions and consortia from around the world as new subscribers to JoVE resources. Learn more about our latest subscribers here and here.
New Team Members
Along the way, we added tons of invaluable new employees to our fast-growing team. And to make the resources we provide more helpful than ever, we built new departments and new positions to respond to the evolving needs of our users.
New Successes
- Our team in Australia is having a record breaking year, blowing far past their sales targets, and inspiring the rest of the JoVE team by their successes.
- Our IT team has doubled the amount of traffic visiting JoVE.com over the course of the year by improving and streamlining access to the site and usability while on it.
- Our Editorial team has created a rate of manuscript submission that surpasses every year in the company’s history.
- Our Video team has tremendously increased the amount of video articles published, with over 1,000 articles seeing publication in 2016.
- The list goes on.
I am so excited for the path we will embark on in 2017. JoVE has worked hard to build a promising pipeline of projects in every department. With each passing year, we come closer and closer to achieving our vision of solving the reproducibility crisis in the scientific community. Here’s to many more great years at JoVE! I can’t wait to see what’s coming around the bend.
