Summary
Biochimiste américain Roger Tsien partagé le Prix Nobel 2008 de chimie avec Martin Chalfie et Osamu Shimomura pour leurs découvertes et le développement de la Green Fluorescent Protein (GFP). Tsien a considérablement amélioré la GFP de type sauvage résultant de la fluorescence accrue, photostabilité accrue, et un changement dans le pic d'excitation majeure à 488 nm (correspondant au FITC).
