Ideological Education

Ideological education is the organized process of transmitting political, moral, social, or cultural beliefs and values, influencing how people interpret society and behave within it. It works through socialization, using instruction, narratives, symbols, role models, repetition, and formal or informal rewards and sanctions to encourage the internalization of shared norms. In behavior research, ideological education helps explain how attitudes, identities, group loyalties, and behavioral expectations develop across schools, families, workplaces, and political institutions. Studying these processes can clarify conformity, cooperation, persuasion, resistance, and the ways institutions shape individual and collective behavior.
