Sample Transfer Protocol

A sample transfer protocol is a standardized procedure for moving biological or engineered materials between containers, instruments, or experimental stages while preserving sample identity, integrity, and usability. It typically combines accurate labeling, appropriate handling conditions, controlled aspiration and dispensing, and contamination prevention to ensure that the transferred material remains representative of the original sample. In bioengineering, these protocols support cell culture, biomaterial processing, molecular assays, and other workflows that depend on consistent sample preparation. Careful transfer practices improve reproducibility, reduce sample loss, and help researchers compare results across experiments, laboratories, and downstream analytical methods.

2017

Transferable pesticide residue experiments in turfgrass systems are integral components of human risk exposure assessments. Experimental approaches to measure transferable residues should be adjusted to the human interaction of interest and turfgrass system dynamics. Three transferable pesticide residue protocols are presented and the suitability across three turfgrass systems is discussed.
