Chip Stripping Method

The Chip Stripping Method is a biological technique for removing biological material, bound molecules, or assay components from a microfabricated chip so the surface can be prepared for further analysis or reuse. It generally combines a surface-compatible chemical or physical treatment with controlled washing to disrupt interactions between the target material and the chip while limiting damage to the device or its functional coating. This approach can support repeated microfluidic assays, biosensor workflows, and sample-processing studies by reducing carryover and improving experimental consistency. Its effectiveness depends on selecting stripping conditions that balance thorough removal with preservation of surface properties and device performance.

Voltammetry: Stripping Methods

2024

Anodic Stripping Voltammetry (ASV), Cathodic Stripping Voltammetry (CSV), and Adsorptive Stripping Voltammetry (AdSV) are electrochemical techniques used to determine trace amounts of analytes in solution. These methods involve applying a potential to an electrode and measuring the resulting current. Anodic Stripping Voltammetry (ASV) ASV is used to determine metals and metalloids at trace levels. It involves two steps: deposition and stripping. First, a negative potential is applied to the...

This protocol describes the development of two IgG class monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) strongly reactive to myoglobin of cetaceans. These mAbs are applied on a colloidal gold immunochromatographic test strip based on the sandwich format to differentiate the Mb of cetaceans from seal and other animals.
