High-throughput Software

High-throughput software comprises computational tools that automate the rapid processing, analysis, and management of large biological datasets, enabling researchers to study many samples or measurements efficiently. These systems typically use scripted workflows, batch processing, parallel computation, and standardized data pipelines to transform raw sequencing, imaging, or screening results into interpretable outputs. In biology, high-throughput software supports genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, drug screening, and quantitative microscopy by reducing manual analysis and improving reproducibility. Its scalability helps researchers identify patterns, compare experimental conditions, and process increasingly complex datasets while maintaining consistent analytical criteria.

Neural control and cognitive processes can be studied through eye movements. The VisualEyes software allows an operator to program stimuli on two computer screens independently using a simple, custom scripting language. The system can stimulate tandem eye movements (saccades and smooth pursuit) or opposing eye movements (vergence) or any combination.
