Microchip Arrays

Microchip arrays are miniaturized platforms that organize many biological sensors, reaction sites, or sample chambers in a precise, addressable grid, enabling high-throughput analysis with small volumes. In a typical array, each location contains a defined probe, reagent, or capture surface; target molecules bind or react there, producing a measurable fluorescent, electrical, or other signal that identifies and quantifies the biological response. In biology, microchip arrays support gene-expression profiling, genotyping, protein detection, cell analysis, and diagnostic testing. Their parallel design reduces sample and reagent use while increasing experimental scale, reproducibility, and the ability to compare complex biological patterns.
