Ngt-3d Method

The NGT-3D method is a three-dimensional biological modeling approach that recreates aspects of cell organization and tissue architecture in a controlled laboratory system. It works by arranging or culturing cells under defined conditions that support spatial interactions, growth, and structural development, allowing researchers to study biological behavior beyond conventional two-dimensional cultures. NGT-3D models can help investigate development, tissue organization, disease-related changes, and cellular responses to experimental treatments. By providing a more physiologically relevant context for cell-cell and cell-environment interactions, the method supports advanced imaging, functional analysis, and the development of experimental models for biology and biomedical research.

Femtosecond-laser direct-writing is frequently used to create three-dimensional (3D) patterns in polymers and glasses. However, patterning metals in 3D remains a challenge. We describe a method for fabricating silver nanostructures embedded inside a polymer matrix using a femtosecond laser centered at 800 nm.

A Method for 3D Bioprinting Murine Cortical Astrocytes

2025

The video demonstrates the process of creating a 3D bioprinted construct using astrocytes suspended in a bioink solution. The bioprinted construct, after crosslinking, facilitates astrocyte adhesion and their spreading, forming neural-like tissue.

Scaling of Engineered Vascular Grafts Using 3D Printed Guides and the Ring Stacking Method

Scalable engineered blood vessels would improve clinical applicability. Using easily sizable 3D-printed guides, rings of vascular smooth muscle were created and stacked into a tubular form, forming a vascular graft. Grafts can be sized to meet the range of human coronary artery dimensions by simply changing the 3D-printed guide size.

We use 3D printing to fabricate anisotropic particles in the shapes of jacks, crosses, tetrads, and triads, whose alignments and rotations in turbulent fluid flow can be measured from multiple simultaneous video images.

Spheroid Generation from Cell Lines: A Three-Dimensional (3D) Cell Culture Method

2023

Spheroids are a type of 3D cell culture model used to more accurately represent a cell’s environment compared to 2D cell culture monolayer models. In the example protocol, we will see scientists generate spheroids from a colorectal cancer cell line and apply live-cell imaging to track the spheroids’ growth.
