Tumor Dissociation Kit

A Tumor Dissociation Kit is a standardized set of reagents and protocols used to separate solid tumor tissue into individual cells or small cell clusters for laboratory analysis. The process typically combines enzymatic digestion, which breaks down extracellular matrix proteins and cell-to-cell attachments, with controlled mechanical disruption to release viable cells while limiting damage. In cancer research, the resulting cell suspensions support flow cytometry, single-cell analysis, cell culture, molecular profiling, and tumor microenvironment studies. Consistent dissociation can improve recovery and reproducibility, helping researchers characterize tumor heterogeneity, identify cancer and immune cell populations, and evaluate treatment responses.

2026

This video case report demonstrates the unique management of a duodenal gastrointestinal stromal tumor with a rare, understudied, exon 8 KIT mutation. Neoadjuvant therapy resulted in a 30% reduction in tumor size, making the patient a candidate for a robotic-assisted duodenal sleeve resection instead of the more morbid pancreaticoduodenectomy.

Axon guidance molecules regulate neuronal migration and targeted growth-cone navigation. We present a powerful method, the stripe assay, to assess the ability of guidance molecules to attract or repulse neurons. In this protocol, we demonstrate the stripe assay by showing FLRT2's ability to repel cultured hippocampal neurons.

Here we demonstrate the newly developed I•Cryo kit for mouse sperm cryopreservation. Two-cell stage embryo development with frozen-thawed sperm was improved consistently in 5 mouse strains with the use of this kit. Over a 1.5 year period, 49 genetically modified mouse lines were archived by sperm cryopreservation with the I•Cryo kit and later successfully recovered by IVF.
