Nurse Training

Nurse training is the structured education and supervised practice that prepares learners to provide safe, evidence-based patient care. It combines classroom instruction, skills-lab practice, simulation, and clinical placements, where students apply assessment, communication, medication administration, infection prevention, and clinical decision-making under professional supervision. In clinical settings, learners assess patients, identify changes in condition, develop and implement care plans, and evaluate outcomes while receiving feedback from instructors and experienced nurses. This integrated process builds technical competence, ethical judgment, teamwork, and confidence, supporting consistent care across hospitals, community settings, and other healthcare environments.

Microinjection of Drosophila Nurse Cells: A Method of Intracellular Delivery

2023

Due to their large size and relatively simple organization, Drosophila nurse cells are ideally suited for live cell imaging studies. This video describes a microinjection method for exogenous compounds delivery into the cells, and the featured protocol demonstrates the procedure with fluorescent oligonucleotide probes called molecular beacons (MBs) used to visualize endogenous mRNA transcripts.

All animal procedures described here must be conducted in accordance with institutional animal ethics guidelines and approved by IACUC. All procedures must follow the principles of the 3Rs—Replacement, Reduction, and Refinement—and must be performed by trained personnel. A Stepwise Approach to Training Proper training and competency in animal procedures are essential to ensure high standards of animal welfare and reliable scientific outcomes. A structured, progressive training approach is...
