Air Pressure Resistant Door

An air pressure resistant door is a specially engineered barrier that maintains separation between rooms exposed to different air pressures, helping control airborne particle movement. Its reinforced construction, tightly fitted seals, and secure latching mechanism withstand pressure differences while limiting uncontrolled leakage when the door is closed. In infection-control environments, these doors support ventilation systems that create negative pressure in isolation rooms to contain infectious aerosols or positive pressure in protective environments to keep contaminants out. Reliable operation helps protect patients and healthcare workers, supports containment procedures, and strengthens facility-level defenses against airborne transmission during immunology and infection research or clinical care.

In pressure myography, an intact small segment of a vessel is mounted onto two small cannulas and pressurized to a suitable luminal pressure. Here, we describe the method to measure vasorelaxation response of the mouse 3rd order mesenteric arteries in c57 and sGCα1-/- mice using pressure myography.

Assessing Myogenic Response and Vasoactivity In Resistance Mesenteric Arteries Using Pressure Myography

Pressure myography is used to assess vasoactivity of small arteries that develop sustained constriction when pressurized. This manuscript provides a detailed protocol to assess in isolated segments of small mesenteric arteries from rats, vasoactivity and the effect of intraluminal pressure on vascular diameter.

The laser heated diamond anvil cell combined with synchrotron micro-diffraction techniques allows researchers to explore the nature and properties of new phases of matter at extreme pressure and temperature (PT) conditions. Heterogeneous samples can be characterized in situ under high pressure by 2D mapping and combined powder, single-crystal and multigrain diffraction approaches.

Piping Networks and Pressure Losses

Source: Alexander S Rattner, Department of Mechanical and Nuclear Engineering, The Pennsylvania State University, University Park, PA This experiment introduces the measurement and modeling of pressure losses in piping networks and internal flow systems. In such systems, frictional flow resistance from channel walls, fittings, and obstructions causes mechanical energy in the form of fluid pressure to be converted to heat. Engineering analyses are needed to size flow hardware to ensure...
