Cd3 T Cells

CD3 T cells are T lymphocytes identified by the CD3 protein complex on their surface, making CD3 a widely used marker of the adaptive immune system. CD3 associates with the T-cell receptor and transmits signals when the receptor recognizes antigen presented by major histocompatibility complex molecules, triggering cellular activation, proliferation, and effector functions. In immunology and infection research, measuring CD3-positive cells helps assess T-cell abundance and immune responses in blood, tissues, and infected sites. Their analysis supports studies of pathogen defense, immune dysregulation, vaccine responses, and clinical conditions that alter cellular immunity.

Studying Interactions between Myeloid Cells and CAR T Cells In Vitro and In Vivo

2025

Given the limited xenograft models available to study interactions between human CART and myeloid cells, we established in vitro and in vivo models to understand the impacts of human macrophages on CART cells. Findings can potentially be generalized to evaluate macrophage roles in the tumor microenvironment and test macrophage-targeted immunotherapies.

A Non-invasive Way to Isolate and Phenotype Cells from the Conjunctiva

2017

The exposed normal ocular surface consists of cornea and conjunctiva. Epithelial cells, goblet cells and immune cells are present in the conjunctiva. Here, a non-invasive, technique of impression cytology is described using an impression cytology device and flow cytometry to analyze immune cells in the conjunctiva.

Culturing of Activated T Cells from Human Peripheral Blood Mononuclear Cells

2025

In this video, we describe a protocol for human primary T cell activation. The incubation of naïve T cells with magnetic beads coated with anti-CD3 and anti-CD28 antibodies, followed by interleukin-2 or interleukin-15 treatment, leads to the activation of naïve T cells and their differentiation and proliferation into effector or memory T cells.

A Flow Cytometry Assay to Identify Immune Cell Subsets in Peripheral Blood Mononuclear Cells

This video demonstrates a flow cytometry-based technique using two fluorochromes to identify CD4+ and CD8+ T cells, γδ T cells, B cells, natural killer (NK) cells, and monocytes in human peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs). Upon incubating the cells with fluorochrome-conjugated antibodies against the surface markers, the cell subsets are identified using an optimal flow cytometric gating strategy.

Flotation-Based T Cell Isolation Using Buoyancy-Activated Cell Sorting

2025

This video demonstrates T cell isolation from peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) using the functionalized buoyancy-activated cell sorting (BACS) technology. The isolation technique involves the positive selection of CD3+ T cells by labeling the cells with biotinylated anti-CD3 antibodies and separating the antibody-bound cells using streptavidin-bound microbubbles.
