Simplifying Expressions

Simplifying expressions is the process of rewriting mathematical expressions in an equivalent, more concise form without changing their value. It typically involves applying the order of operations, using the distributive property, combining like terms with the same variables and exponents, and reducing numerical factors or fractions when possible. The resulting expression is easier to read, evaluate, compare, and use in later calculations. In algebra, simplification supports solving equations, graphing functions, analyzing formulas, and checking whether two expressions are equivalent, making it a foundational skill for mathematical reasoning and applications in science, engineering, and quantitative analysis.

This paper demonstrates a protocol for recasting experimental simplified model limits into conservative and aggressive limits on an arbitrary new physics model. Publicly available LHC experimental results can be recast in this manner into limits on almost any new physics model with a supersymmetry-like signature.

Generation of recombinant rotaviruses from plasmid DNA provides an essential tool for the study of rotavirus replication and pathogenesis, and the development of rotavirus expression vectors and vaccines. Herein, we describe a simplified reverse genetics approach for generating recombinant rotaviruses, including strains expressing fluorescent reporter proteins.

Application of Simplified Stent-bridging Pancreaticogastrostomy in Open Pancreaticoduodenectomy

2026

Here, we present the stent-bridging pancreaticogastrostomy (PG) technique, which uses a stent to bridge the remnant pancreas to the stomach during open pancreaticoduodenectomy. The stent-bridging PG aims to simplify the anastomosis, achieve complete diversion of pancreatic juice, and minimize manipulation of the pancreatic remnant.
