Spiral Route Analysis

Spiral Route Analysis is a mathematical approach to studying paths that wind around a center, especially by relating distance from the center to angular position. It commonly represents a route in polar coordinates, where the radius r changes as the angle θ increases; the resulting function reveals whether the path forms an Archimedean, logarithmic, or another spiral. Analysts can use radial growth, number of turns, curvature, and intersection patterns to compare routes and interpret geometric structure. In mathematics, this framework supports coordinate geometry, curve modeling, and visualization, while also providing a basis for studying trajectories, spatial layouts, and spiral patterns in applied problems.

Persuasion is the process of changing our attitude toward something based on some kind of communication. Much of the persuasion we experience comes from outside forces. How do people convince others to change their attitudes, beliefs, and behaviors? What communications do you receive that attempt to persuade you to change your attitudes, beliefs, and behaviors? Yale Attitude Change Approach The topic of persuasion has been one of the most extensively researched areas in social psychology...

Culturing Murine Spiral Ganglion Neuron Explants on Multielectrode Arrays

2025

This video demonstrates the process for isolating spiral ganglion explants from the inner ear and co-culturing them with the organ of Corti on a multielectrode array. Spiral ganglia are carefully extracted and sectioned into smaller tissue sections or explants. These explants are cultured on the multielectrode array's active area to promote neuronal process outgrowth.

Label-Free Neutrophil Separation from Tracheal Secretion Using Spiral Microfluidics Channel

2025

This video demonstrates separating neutrophils from tracheal secretions using a microfluidic device with spiral channels. The device achieves efficient separation based on cell size by utilizing varying thicknesses and trapezoidal-shaped channels. The interplay between forces results in large neutrophils accumulating near the inner wall while erythrocytes and mucin aggregates remain near the outer wall, ensuring effective neutrophil separation.

2016

We present a protocol to culture primary murine spiral ganglion neuron explants on multi electrode arrays to study neuronal response profiles and optimize stimulation parameters. Such studies aim to improve the neuron-electrode interface of cochlear implants to benefit hearing in patients as well as the energy consumption of the device.

Differentiating Immortalized Multipotent Otic Progenitors into Spiral Ganglion Neurons and Evaluating the Differentiation

2025

The video demonstrates the differentiation of immortalized multipotent otic progenitors (iMOPs) into spiral ganglion neurons (SGNs) and immunofluorescence-based confirmation of the differentiation. The iMOPs are plated onto culture substrate-coated coverslips in a neuronal differentiation medium for differentiation into SGNs. The differentiated cells are labeled with antibodies specific for neuronal differentiation markers and analyzed under a microscope to confirm differentiation.
