Meagan received her PhD in Biomedical Sciences from Marshall University in Huntington, WV in 2014. Currently, she is working for a small biotech company, Progenesis Technologies, which is using genetically engineered strains of Pseudomonas aeruginosa to synthesize the commercially and medically important polysaccharide, alginate.
