Biography

Li DUAN is a professor and a doctoral supervisor in Institute of Mechanics of Chinese Academy of Sciences. Professor Li DUAN’s research area is Microgravity Fluid Mechanics, involves fluid mechanics, physical processes of materials and biology, modern optical diagnostics and space experimental technologies, etc.

In the past two decades, Professor Li DUAN has mainly engaged in study on thermocapillary convection, carried out a large number of foundation experiments and explored the instability mechanism. On this basis, as a director designer or deputy director designer, Professor Li DUAN has finished three space experiments.

More than 100 SCI and EI papers have been published, and more than ten graduate students have been trained. Professor Li DUAN also teaches graduate courses in University of Chinese Academy of Sciences.
