Qpix2 Robot

The QPix2 Robot is an automated colony-picking system that identifies and transfers microbial colonies from agar plates into multiwell plates, supporting efficient biological screening and strain selection. Using imaging to locate colonies and a programmable picking mechanism to collect them, the system can process many samples with consistent placement and reduced manual handling. In biology research, QPix2 helps organize microbial libraries, isolate strains, and prepare cultures for downstream assays such as screening, characterization, and genomic analysis. Its automation improves throughput and reproducibility while supporting large-scale workflows in microbiology, biotechnology, and drug discovery.
