Gfp-labeled Cancer Cells

GFP-labeled cancer cells are tumor cells engineered to produce green fluorescent protein (GFP), creating a visible marker that helps researchers identify and follow cancer cells in experimental systems. The GFP gene is introduced into the cells, and its expression produces a fluorescent protein that emits green light when excited at an appropriate wavelength, allowing labeled cells to be detected without staining each sample. In cancer research, these cells support real-time imaging of proliferation, migration, invasion, metastasis, and treatment response in culture and animal models. Their fluorescence enables quantitative tracking of tumor behavior and improves analysis of therapeutic effects.

Here we report dual labeling of neural crest cells and blood vessels using chickGFP neural tube intraspecies grafting combined with intra-vascular DiI injection. This experimental technique allows us to simultaneously visualize and study development of the NCC-derived (enteric) nervous system and the vascular system, during organogenesis.
