Temperature and Thermal Equilibrium

Die Temperatur ist das Maß für die Hitze oder Kälte eines Körpers und kann mit einem Thermometer aufgezeichnet werden.
Der heißere Körper hat eine höhere Temperatur, während der kältere eine niedrigere Temperatur hat.
Zum Beispiel fühlt sich kochendes Wasser heiß an, da es eine höhere Temperatur als kaltes Wasser hat.
Wenn heißes und kaltes Wasser gemischt werden, wird die Wärme vom heißen auf das kalte Wasser übertragen, bis ihre Temperatur gleich ist.
Nach Erreichen einer gleichmäßigen Temperatur stoppt die Wärmeübertragung und das Wasser befindet sich im thermischen Gleichgewicht.
Wenn das erwärmte Wasser in einen Kühlschrank gestellt wird, kühlt es ab, bis es die Temperatur des Kühlschranks erreicht hat.
Das thermische Gleichgewicht ist also der Zustand, in dem es keine weitere Wärmeübertragung zwischen zwei verbundenen Systemen gibt.
Wenn ein Körper durch einen Isolator vom anderen System getrennt ist, verzögert dies den Prozess des thermischen Gleichgewichts.
Daher kann ein Thermokolben den Kaffee lange heiß halten, da das zwischen den Wänden des Kolbens vorhandene Vakuum als Isolator wirkt und die Wärmeübertragung einschränkt.

Wärme und Temperatur sind Begriffe, die für jeden Menschen jeden Tag wichtig sind. Die Studie von Wärme und Temperatur gehört zur Physikdisziplin der Thermodynamik. Es ist nicht immer einfach, Wärme und Temperatur zu unterscheiden.

Das Konzept der Temperatur hat sich aus den allgemeinen Vorstellungen von heiß und kalt entwickelt. Die wissenschaftliche Definition von Temperatur erklärt mehr als nur unser Empfinden von heiß und kalt. Temperatur wird operational definiert als die mit einem Thermometer gemessene Größe. Darüber hinaus ist die Temperatur proportional zur durchschnittlichen translatorischen kinetischen Energie, was eine physikalischere Definition liefert. Unterschiede in der Temperatur erhalten den Wärmeaustausch im gesamten Universum aufrecht. Wärmeübertragung ist die Bewegung von Energie von einem Ort oder Material zum anderen aufgrund eines Temperaturunterschieds. Die Übertragung von Wärme kann die Temperatur verändern und beeinflusst alles, von dem Verhalten von Atomen und Molekülen über das Kochen bis hin zum Wetter auf der Erde und den Lebenszyklen von Sternen. Man kann die Wärme spüren, die durch die Sonne im Sommer oder durch heißen Kaffee oder Tee nach einem winterlichen Spaziergang in den Körper gelangt. Man kann auch die Wärme spüren, die durch die Kälte der Nacht oder den kühlenden Effekt von Schweiß nach körperlicher Anstrengung den Körper verlässt.

Heat and temperature are key ideas in thermodynamics and in everyday life. People often connect temperature with hot and cold, but science gives it a more precise meaning. Temperature is the quantity measured with a thermometer. It is also linked to the average translational kinetic energy of particles.

Heat is different from temperature. Heat is energy that moves from one place or material to another because there is a difference in temperature. That difference in temperature keeps heat flowing throughout the universe. When heat is transferred, it can change temperature and affect matter in many settings.

These ideas help explain the behavior of atoms and molecules. They also appear in cooking, in Earth’s weather, and in the life cycles of stars. People can feel heat entering the body from the summer Sun or from hot coffee or tea after a winter stroll. People can also feel heat leaving the body from the chill of the night or from the cooling effect of sweat after exercise.
